Golf Retirement Community
For many people the idea of retiring to a private caravan park is appealing because of the opportunity to spend time with other like-minded people, or even to share in the love and passion of a particular past-time or hobby. Golf is one of the most popular activities among retirees and at Woodland Estates we are ideally located to support a retirement community of golfers. There are 6 courses situated within 15 minutes of the site.
- Oak Gables - 27 holes spread across 3 Courses provide excellent challenges and great variety combined with picturesque scenery and valley views in all directions.
- Century Pines Golf Club - 18-hole course designed by renowned architect Ted Baker & Associates. 4 sets of tee blocks on each hole catering for golfers of all abilities; from novice to accomplished.
- Flamborough Hills - Three 9-hole courses situated on gently rolling hills and mature tree-lined fairways, a fully stocked pro shop under direction of CPGA Head Professional Jeff Moore and fine dining with Toni Burch in the 300-capacity clubhouse.
- Copetown Woods - newest championship course in south-western Ontario and also the first official Powerplay Golf Venue in Canada.
- Knollwood Golf Club - 2 courses which respect "the balance between nature, wildlife and the golfer". The old course was founded in 1970 by Jack Harris, one of the most well respected golf course superintendents in Canadian history, whilst the new course (opened in 1992) was created to provide a greater challenge to golfers.
- Mystic Lake.
Woodland Estates Residential Caravan Park is much more than just a golf retirement community, but the number of excellent courses found in the local area in which it nestles certainly makes it a huge draw to those people wanting to spend some of their retirement exploring the links and improving their game.
